WY Association of School Superintendents Honor Dr. Espeland

Dr. Espeland HonoredConverse County School District #1 superintendent, Dr. Dan Espeland, was honored last week at the Wyoming Association of School Administrators (WASA) annual conference on his retirement after 17 years of service to the district and to the Wyoming education community. Dr. Espeland was introduced by Kirk Hughes, superintendent of schools at Converse County School District #2 in Glenrock. 

Originally from Billings, Montana, Dr. Espeland has served as an educator in Wyoming for the past 37 years. His experience includes teaching, coaching, and administration in six Wyoming districts. Dr. Espeland did his undergraduate work at Montana State University-Billings, received a master’s degree from Montana State University-Bozeman, and completed his doctorate at the University of Wyoming in 2001.  He has served as the president of WASA, and was selected as Superintendent of the Year in 2008.
