Micca is an outstanding member of the Special Education Team.  Micca has an exceptional ability to connect to students, staff, and parents.  Her positive attitudes, passion for children, and high quality of instruction have contributed to the overall success of her program. Her students are consistently encouraged to do their best and are reinforced for achievement as well as effort. She ensures all students feel they are a vital part of the entire school community.  She has implemented a school wide recycling program with her students allowing them the opportunity to learn the value and importance of such a project!   She also takes on a very active role within her school and our Special Education Department.  This year she will also be leading the DIS staff with their Positive Behavioral Supports School-Wide Model.  Her enthusiasm, innovativeness, and genuine sincerity for her students are exemplary.  Micca is an excellent teacher who truly cares about students!  Congratulations Micca!  We are fortunate to have you within our department!
