Jon CookJon has a special gift when it comes to working with disabled students. He can be loud, boisterous, brutally honest and yet is one of the most compassionate teachers we have ever met. He connects with students on a level that not all teachers can working within student classified with Emotional Disabilities, one of our hardest fields in the district. He takes a student's lack of success very personally and will work with the student, parent, classroom teacher and administrators to find a way for a student to experience success. Jon has embraced the co-teaching model at the high school working to ensure that ALL students learn. He is committed to the district and has been role model for others working within co-teaching method of lesson delivery. Jon demonstrates care, compassion and understands the dynamics of the special education world well. Jon is one of the reasons the Converse County School District"s Special Education team is the best in the state and we are honored to have him in his position. He is truly a diamond in the rough.
